Ebsports.org is a place to share the stories of athletes and organizations that are using sports to promote sustainable development. On top of that, I will also use this space to keep track of my own journey through the world of sports.
Goals for Spring and Summer
This first entry is all about the definition of my own goals in the world of sports for spring and summer 2023.
Sports for Nature: I am soon to start a new job at the International Union for the Conservation of Nature. It's about bridging sports and environmental protection. A possible dream job. My objective for the first months is to take in as much organizational knowledge as I can, getting to know my co-workers and spreading my love for sports as a force for good.
Triathlon: I am enrolled for the Geneva Triathlon on 8 July (short distance). I am not in love with any of the disciplines but wanted to try out a new challenge. I will certainly be one, especially the swimming as my crawl technique offers pool lengths for improvement. Maybe I am underestimating the cycling too? I definitely have to get my training started.
BJJ. Once the triathlon is in the books, I want to give it a try. I have seen so many videos about it with most of them raving about the sport. Plus, I good friend of mine enjoy it for many years now - I think I should also try rolling once.
Watch this space for a mix of personal sports updates and good news coming out of the world of sports - from grassroots sports clubs to major sports federations - everything to celebrate the positive impact sports can have on society and the environment.

Thinking about applying business training to everyday work, I find the smaller practical questions more interesting than a quick conclusion. A useful training exercise should connect a new idea with a situation people actually encounter. That is the kind of detail I would keep in mind while exploring practical business training. I do not have a settled view yet, but this seems like a good place to slow down and look more closely. How would you check whether a workshop changes behaviour after it ends?
When it comes to developing practical technical skills in Chodziez, I would rather understand one useful detail properly than rush through a long list of ideas. A practical task often reveals gaps that a written exercise leaves unnoticed. For me, that is a useful way into the broader subject of technical education in Chodziez. The part I would like to explore further is what happens when the idea meets a real situation with its own limitations. How would you connect workshop practice with the theory taught in class?
Dobrze zaprojektowana edukacja zdalna może być równie skuteczna jak tradycyjna nauka, pod warunkiem że materiały są odpowiednio uporządkowane i angażujące. Krótkie lekcje, ćwiczenia, testy oraz materiały dodatkowe pomagają utrzymać regularność nauki. Ważne jest również umożliwienie uczniom samodzielnego kontrolowania postępów. Profesjonalne szkolenie pilotów wymaga połączenia wiedzy teoretycznej, praktyki oraz bardzo dobrego przygotowania do sytuacji nietypowych. Materiały edukacyjne dotyczące aerodynamiki, meteorologii, nawigacji oraz procedur lotniczych mogą być interesujące również dla osób, które dopiero rozważają rozpoczęcie nauki. Warto byłoby stworzyć przejrzystą bazę wiedzy przedstawiającą kolejne etapy szkolenia, wymagania oraz podstawowe pojęcia związane z lotnictwem cywilnym.
